I am excited to announce that Sultan Ali Bajwa has joined us as our new Vice President, Sourcing Strategy & Performance Optimization, starting on Monday, September 15, 2025. Sultan will be working out of his home office in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and will report directly to Peter Ucovich, Chief Product & Sourcing Officer.
In this newly created role, Sultan will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, streamline procurement processes, and deliver measurable value. This role also leads cross-functional special projects, optimizes sourcing operations, and ensures alignment with organizational goals for cost savings, compliance, and innovation.
To strengthen collaboration and support across the Product/Sourcing Team, the Category Vice Presidents and their respective teams will report to Sultan as of September 15th. This new structure is designed to foster a more cohesive team environment—enabling greater operational efficiency, encouraging knowledge sharing, and creating more opportunities to learn from one another. It will also enhance the team’s ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify opportunities, implement best practices, and deliver sustainable sourcing solutions.
Sultan has over 11 years of global experience in strategic sourcing across industries such as technology, marketing, and professional services. He has successfully led enterprise-wide procurement transformations for Fortune 100 companies, built high-performing teams, and delivered multimillion-dollar cost savings. His leadership roles at Dentsu, Nestlé, Exxon Chemicals, and currently at Verizon have equipped him with deep expertise in supplier management, procurement analytics, and operational excellence—all aimed at driving transformative sourcing initiatives.
Outside of work, Sultan is an executive and founding member of Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organization that helps people improve their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills. Additionally, Sultan is an avid traveler, nature enthusiast, and fitness lover who enjoys hiking, racquet sports, and resistance training.
