Copilot Day is arriving next week and thanks to the amazing support of our Leadership Team, our AI Champions, led by Doug Cox are busy preparing to introduce you to the power of AI in so many unique and fun ways! 😃🎉There will be a great deal of learning with hands-on activities, workshops, contests and some amazing prizes to be won as well!
Given the upcoming events, I thought it would be fitting to discuss this unique partnership between AI and Humans. By now, I am sure you have all heard the many perceptions about how “The robots are taking over.” Like anything else, perception can be quite different from reality. Can AI replace certain tasks? Yes, but in many cases, not easily without Human Intelligence (HI). AI is only as good as the humans who build it. When looking at the big picture, the strategy is for our “robot friends” to work alongside us. It’s a partnership. There is no replacement for deep meaningful human connection where we can express empathy, conduct critical thinking, and use our reasoning skills to make important decisions. We also have the unique ability to utilize emotional intelligence, express our creativity and more. The “Human” is necessary and critical. Now imagine combining the qualities and efforts of humans WITH AI, using its power to complete repetitive and everyday tasks. AI and HI complement each other, rather than either one “taking over.” In this partnership, we become more efficient. We can make room for more value-added strategic work that can help us personally, professionally and organizationally. AI can aid us with the tactical part.
